The Quinny Buzz is the big sister of the Quinny Zapp. It has of the elements that made the success of the Quinny Zapp. It has nevertheless a very different positioning of the Zapp: it is above all a “comfort” stroller and not a compact and lightweight stroller.
The folding and unfolding of the Buzz is similar to the Zapp. An air spring allows even the stroller to unfold automatically. But this system is heavier and more complicated than the Zapp. We struggled to handle the side button to unlock the chassis to begin folding the stroller. As usual, you just need to get the hang of it but it’s not really easy!
The size of the Quinny Buzz when folded with wheels has nothing to do with the Zapp one. The Buzz is much larger and the figures speak for themselves: 82 cm long, 31 cm high and 65 cm wide against 69 cm long, 29 cm high and 29 cm wide for the Zapp. It is possible to remove the wheels of the Buzz to reduce its volume when folded but the handling is a bit long if you do it every day.
With a weight of 11.6 kg , the Quinny Buzz is moderately heavy. It is positioned in mid-table among the first age (0 to 3 years old) strollers.
The Quinny Buzz stroller is evolutive, that is to say capable of receiving a bassinet and or a car seat. The system of attachment to the chassis is by means of adapters to attach to the chassis. It is then very easy to attach or remove the bassinet or the car seat on the stroller.
As a matter of comfort, Quinny strollers compete with the best in this category. The hammock is exemplary. It is very large, soft, padded and with significant side reinforcements. The roll bar is covered with a foam pleasant to the touch and is easily removable. The hammock has 3 tilting positions easily adjustable with 2 side buttons.
Like for the Bébé Confort High Trek stroller, it is the whole hammock that rotates around the central axis. Combined with an adjustable leg rest, you get a true horizontal position for resting your child. Caution, however, as the Quinny Buzz is only recommended for use with a child older than 6 months.
The remaining elements of comfort are numerous: a high quality canopy with sun extender, side windows and a top viewing window. Inflatable and large diameter rear wheels. In terms of criticism, we regret the absence of a storage basket under the stroller. A bag is included with the stroller, but it is less convenient and interferes with your feet. The small front wheels of the Buzz and lack of suspensions make it an urban stroller. Although all-terrain tires are available as an option to leave the asphalt.
Finally, the hammock can be placed either in position facing the road or facing the parent. This will be very convenient, especially during the first months of the child so that it keeps an eye contact with you.
